CaribWorldNews, BASSETERRE, St Kitts, Fri. May 7, 2010: The West Indies women, fresh from their win over South Africa Wednesday, are set to face England today.
The two sides will clash at Warner Park as the Windies women continue, like their male counterparts, on a winning streak.
On Wednesday, teenage West Indies batter, Deandra Dottin, made history as she smashed the first ever century in Women`s Twenty20 Internationals.
Dottin scored an unbeaten 112 from a mere 43 balls to propel West Indies to 175 for five off their allotted 20 overs. The knock included an amazing six fours and nine spectacular sixes.
West Indies now holds the highest scores in both men`s and women`s T20Is after Chris Gayle`s 117 in the inaugural WT20 Championship three years ago.
The Windies women will face Australia on Sunday, also in St. Kitts.
