CaribWorldNews, KINGSTON, Jamaica, Tues. June 23, 2009: The Bravo brothers will be part of the new West Indies squad, set to face India this weekend in Jamaica.
All rounder Dwayne Bravo and his brother, Darren Bravo, have both made the side, named to face the Indians this Friday and Sunday at Sabina Park.
Darren earned a maiden call up following a season of high scoring for his native Trinidad & Tobago in regional competitions. The younger Bravo, a left-hander, was a part of the West Indies U-19 side that took part in the 2008 World Cup.
He scored 605 runs at an average of 43.21 in nine matches of the regional four-day competition this year.
The first two ODIs will be held on June 26 and June 28 in Kingston.
West Indies squad: Chris Gayle (c), Denesh Ramdin (wk), Lionel Baker, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Sulieman Benn, David Bernard, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Runako Morton, Ravi Rampaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Jerome Taylor.
