CaribWorldNews, ST. JOHN'S, Antigua, Mon. June 22, 2009: The West Indies cricket squad, fresh from their loss in the semi-finals of the ICC World Twenty20 match-up, is now set to face India.
The two sides will clash in two One Day Internationals at Sabina Park, Jamaica on Friday, June 26 and Sunday, June 28.
The team will again be led by skipper Chris Gayle, who will be assisted by Denesh Ramdin. Also making the squad are Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Sulieman Benn, David Bernard, Lionel Baker, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Runako Morton, Ravi Rampaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Jerome Taylor
Fidel Edwards is recovering from a lower back injury and will skip this tour.
From Jamaica, the two teams will move on to St. Lucia for the July 3rd and 5th for the third and fourth One Day Internationals at the Beausejour Stadium.
Meanwhile, in related news, Pakistan won the ICC World Twenty20 2009 with an eight-wicket victory over Sri Lanka at Lord's on Sunday.
Man-of-the-Match Shahid Afridi made an unbeaten 54 as Pakistan made 139-2 to overhaul Sri Lanka's total.
