CaribWorldNews, BRUSSELS, Belgium, Fri. Sept. 5, 2008: Jamaica`s Olympians, Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell, are set to face off today in the last stage of the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme, the finals of the AF Golden League $1 Million Jackpot.
Bolt, the world record holder and three-time Olympic gold medalist, is set to face-off in the men’s 100-m against former World record holder Powell, who recently completed 9.72 on Tuesday in Lausanne.
A capacity audience of 47,000 spectators in the King Baudouin Stadium are set to be on hand for the face-off today.
Bolt says Brussels is his last race of the season. Meanwhile, the women’s 200-m is headed by Olympic bronze medalist Kerron Stewart of Jamaica.
